BALLAST POINT PARK

Public BBQ

Ballast Point Park is a beautiful harborside parkland that offers outstanding views of the Parramatta River, inner Sydney Harbour, Goat Island, and East Balmain. The park has a rich history as a re-imagined gasworks, and information plaques are scattered throughout the area to inform visitors about its past. The park has excellent facilities, including a toilet block, electric BBQs, secluded areas for picnics and relaxing, as well as open foreshore areas for watching sailing boats and other recreational watercraft. It is a great location for a family day out, with clean amenities and dog-friendly areas. It is also suitable for fishing, and has a few parking spots available. The park has several different sections, each with a unique theme, making it perfect for children to explore and enjoy.
